19 - ½ cup whole milk, warmed
20 - ¼ cup unsalted butter
21 - ½ cup sour cream
22 - 1½ tsp salt
23 - ½ tsp black pepper
# Cooking Steps:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease a loaf pan.
02 - In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and thyme until just combined without overmixing.
03 - Form the mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet or press it into the loaf pan.
04 - Stir ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar together in a small bowl. Spread half of this glaze evenly over the meatloaf.
05 - Bake for 40 minutes, then remove from the oven, spread the remaining glaze over the top, and return to bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
06 - While baking, place potatoes in a pot, cover with cold water, add 1 tsp salt, bring to boil, reduce to simmer, and cook until tender, about 18 to 20 minutes.
07 - Drain potatoes, return to pot, add warm milk, butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper, then mash until smooth and creamy.
08 - Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve alongside the mashed potatoes.
