# Cooking Steps:
- Place ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook, breaking apart with a spoon, until browned and no longer pink, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat as needed.
- Add finely chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 4 minutes.
- Incorporate tomato sauce, tomato paste, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly to blend all flavors.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, around 8 to 10 minutes.
- While the mixture simmers, lightly toast hamburger buns in a skillet or oven, using butter if preferred.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto the bottom halves of toasted buns. Cover with the top halves and serve immediately.
