Recipe Questions & Answers

How do I get the pita chips extra crispy?

After baking, allow the pita chips to cool completely on the baking sheet; this helps them firm up and become extra crunchy.

Can I adjust the spiciness of the guacamole?

Yes, control spice by adding more or less jalapeño or sprinkling chili flakes on the pita chips for additional heat.

What is the best way to prevent guacamole from browning?

Cover the guacamole surface tightly with plastic wrap, ensuring it touches the surface to minimize exposure to air.

Are there any common allergens in this dish?

The pita chips contain gluten; some brands may have traces of sesame, so check ingredient labels carefully if you have allergies.

Can I prepare the guacamole ahead of time?

Yes, but for best freshness, prepare guacamole shortly before serving and keep it covered in the refrigerator to slow browning.
